About Mile High Fire Training

Training at 5,280 feet

What started as a way to bring great fire service instructors to firefighters in our region now draws students from across the country for hands-on training in Colorado.

Our story

Built on the Basics

The Mile High Fire Conference was started by an Aurora firefighter with a simple goal: bring respected fire service instructors to Denver at a cost firefighters could afford.

In 2025, the torch was passed to our family to keep it growing. Today the conference is part of Mile High Fire Training, a family-run organization Built on the Basics.

You'll see our whole family on the drill ground, right alongside our instructors' spouses and kids. Because this life isn't just the firefighter's. We're building something for the whole fire family: the ones on the job, the spouses navigating this life, and the fire kids who grew up in it.

Buckle up. We're just getting started.
